For those of you that don’t know, my wife and I are trying to adopt a child from Russia. We were told the other day that our home study was completed and accepted by the adoption agency we are using.

Jen spoke with our case worker at the adoption agency; she has received the home study from our social worker. What this all means is that we can get a referral for a child at anytime from now. Needless to say I and my wife are both excited at the prospect that any day we can get a phone call saying our information package is in the mail.

The next step after getting the dossier on the child (Hope it’s a boy) is we bring the information to a doctor that specializes in over seas adoption so he/she can evaluate the medical records. If he gives us the thumbs up, we take our first of two trips to Russia.

Something to say?
